Thousands
of foreigners vacation in Panama yearly. Panama travel has been
strong for quite a few years, but the real estate industry has
just begun to climb in recent years. Panama is typically considered
a bit off of the beaten path in comparison to more populated
“touristy” areas. Visitors are attracted to Panama
because of the tropical Panama weather, the options for high
intensity outdoor recreation, and to just relax on one of the
beautiful playas of Panama. Water sports, hiking, golf, and
scuba diving are just a few examples of areas where Panama has
received world-class ratings.
A typical vacation in Panama could involve a number of different
events, or a few. Many outdoor adventurers flock to Central
America, and Panama in specific, to enjoy some of the best
surfing and fishing in the world. In comparison to other locations
like Cancun or Cabo Mexico, Panama travel seems quite doable
to most U.S., Canadian, and European citizens. With the exception
of the expenses incurred through the airlines, Panama is cheap.
Hotels can range from four
and five star resorts, to $6/night hostels. Examples of the
more expensive hotels throughout Panama include:
• Bristol Hotel
• Caesar Park Hotel
• Country Inn and Suites Amador at the Panama Canal
• The Crowne Plaza Hotel
• Decapolis Radisson
• El Panama Hotel
• Four Points by Sheraton
• Intercontinental Miramar Hotel
• Veneto Hotel and Casino
Examples of eco-resorts are as follows:
• Boquete Garden Inn B&B
• Cana Field Station – Darien National Park
• Canopy Lodge – El Valle
• Canopy Tower
• Coral Lodge
Vacation in Panama can be a comfortable and relaxing time,
or an adrenaline pumping ride, or, better yet, both. A tourist
could potentially have a full day marlin fishing expedition
one day, and lay by the pool while being served margaritas
the next. Panama travel typically attracts a large number
of outside investors to purchase properties. Investors are
in awe by the low cost of living and presence of home-like
amenities. Real estate has been on the rise in Panama in recent
years. Panama real estate, travel, and vacation have steadily
increased.
Panama is not, to the extent of its neighbor Costa Rica,
over developed in many areas. The Guanacaste region of Costa
Rica is a prime example in Costa Rica of what most of Panama
has managed to avoid. Costa Rica, in areas such as Guanacaste,
has turned into a place as expensive as the U.S. or Europe.
Panama travel, however, has remained affordable for the most
part. There are, of course, options for the plush spenders
to live the life of luxury and pay for it, but overall Panama
is much cheaper than Costa Rica. Vacation in Panama will remain
popular, and, odds are, will eventually drive prices up within
Panama; as has happened in the neighboring country. But Panama
has plenty to offer, and, for now, at a good price too.
